Named the most popular models in Russia

The first line in the ranking of the most popular cars in Russia in October took the model of AvtoVAZ, followed by "Koreans".

In October 2011, Russia had sold 240.9 thousand new cars, which is 27% higher than the same period last year. After nine months, the Russians acquired 2160000 cars (+43%). For comparison, in 2010 Russia had sold 1.9 million cars – 30% more than in 2009.

In October, Lada Samara, Priora and Kalina become the best selling cars of results 13 948, 11 563 and 11 615 respectively. This is followed by Hyundai Solaris with index 10.3 thousand cars.

Following October 2011 budget sedan Kia Rio entered the top ten most popular cars in Russia, taking ninth place, according to API. According to the report of the Association of European Businesses (AEB), last month purchased 5,735 of these machines. Recall that the Kia Rio started to sell in only in October.

Among the most popular brands in October was Lada, which sold 49.3 thousand copies in Russia. Second place was taken by the company Hyundai (15.5 tys.avtomobiley), followed by Chevrolet (15.1 million),Kia (14.8 million) and Nissan (13.7 million).
