At Mercedes-Benz models ridge renaming

In Stuttgart decided to make life easier for their customers by depriving them of confusion in the notation, which is more due to the ever-growing lineup so soon company will range ordering patterns.
The "Mercedes" intend to leave three main prefix for their models: the letter "G"Will affect all SUVs and crossovers,"C"- Coupes and convertibles, and"SL"- Sports cars.
Thus, the front-drive compact "four-door coupe", built on the platform of A-Class, get the name CLA. Earlier this model was planned to be called CLC, but under the new rules, the second letter "C" may apply only to machines that belong to the family of C-Class.
Under the new system, the coupe and convertible Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be called CLC, dvudverka E-Class – CLE, a compact crossover that will compete for customers with the BMW X1, receive nameplates GLA, a compact version of SLS AMG supercar will be called SLR .
Although the that Mercedes wants to simplify recognition models remains unclear, may be cited as dvuhdverka and convertible A-Class. It is possible that one of these modifications can name CLB. The letter "B" is theoretically possible to use such models as A-and B-Class are built on a modular platform. A "four-door coupe" CLS will retain its current name, despite the fact that this model is based on the E-Class. In this connection we would like to note that the order of exceptions – this is not quite in order. Well, if this change will simplify life fans brand and the company's clients – time will tell.
