Renault-Nissan Alliance deepen their relationship with the brand Mercedes-Benz. Both groups have moved forward with many joint projects: Mercedes van Citan based Renault, Mercedes engine production factory Nissan in Tennessee to develop a common platform for the Renault Twingo. Speaking to reporters at a briefing at the company's headquarters in Paris, CEO Renault-Nissan Alliance Carlos Hosn said that the French automaker is in the early stages of developing a new luxury model on the platform of Mercedes.
"At least one car on the platform Daimler help us" – said Hosn in conversation with portal Bloomberg. – "Sharing technology should not be one-sided, so we will help Daimler to succeed in the segment of compact cars, while they themselves borrow something from the category of luxury."
